Did you hear that in honor of Liv in the District’s launch I’m giving away a free of shiny black Hunter Boots to one lucky lady?

If not, you need to head over to Liv in the District on Facebook to enter to win!

It’s pretty simple. Follow Liv in the District on Facebook, Instagram at liv_in_the_district and share the post about the giveaway on your own Facebook Timeline. I’m announcing the winner on Saturday, August 19th at midnight.

But why did I chose to giveaway Hunter Boots for the giveaway challenge?

The answer is simple. This entire blog is about giving folks outside D.C. a glimpse of what life is really like in Washington, D.C. The blog was inspired by conversations that I had with folks all around America and the globe who expressed disillusionment with D.C.

My hope is that Liv in the District will give folks everywhere an understanding of the average people living out their lives in Washington.

I’ve always liked the phrase “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes”. So I thought it would be a good idea to giveaway boots as a first step toward developing understanding (both on my part to appreciate the misgivings folks outside the beltway have with those of us inside and that those outside of the beltway would get a chance to walk in D.C. boots).

I can’t wait to announce the winner of the boots and can’t wait to share more with you about life in D.C. in the coming weeks and months. I’m excited because I have a few folks lined up to be featured in my Washingtonian Women column.

So stay posted for updates and head on over to Liv in the District on Facebook for your chance to win a pair of Hunters of your own.

Cheers loves,

Liv
