To say that I’m psyched for Fall would be an understatement.
Who doesn’t love the season of cool breezes, falling leaves, and pumpkin vanilla chai?
I’ve always really loved Fall. Zach and I both have Fall birthdays and, of course, there is Thanksgiving — a time spent with family and friends with hearts full of gratitude and joy.
I have also always secretly always liked Fall because it reminds me of the start of school. Brand spanking new books, a fresh semester that symbolizes new beginnings and fresh materials to master — what’s not to love?
Even though I’m not in school right now, the Fall always seems like a great time to start new projects, pick-up goals I set at the New Year where I’ve fallen off the bandwagon (working out :cough, cough:), and time to reflect on all that’s happened (or not happened) this year with time yet to make unachieved goals happen.
So when my friend Jon Meadows approached me about doing a Fall photo shoot, I immediately accepted and said that we simply had to go back to Georgetown.
The university is glorious in the Fall.
Feeling in the academic spirit, I grabbed my favorite Fall boyfriend blazer and we set to work. Jon runs Highend Headshots and is expanding into lifestyle photography. And I was used to being photographed by Zach, so it was a learning experience for us both.
It was such a blast!
But back to the blazer. This blazer is the bomb-diggity. I picked it up when I was in London earlier this year for a friend’s wedding. Truthfully, it kind of makes me feel professorial, and as Zach would say is reminiscent of the good-old-days of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Dorothy Sayers. Basically, the epitome of British intelligentsia. 😉
The blazer is from a brand I’ve become very attached to from my travels to Asia:Â Bershka. I love to shop abroad because I’ve found that both the European and Asian markets tend to be a season ahead of U.S. fashion. Plus, their clothes usually fit me better.
But this season, I’ve seen similar styles popping up at stores like Zara and H&M.

So whether you are headed to work, school, or a fun coffee dates with friends, these blazers can be dressed up or down and are the perfect accessory for dropping fall temps.
Cheers loves,
Liv
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
