Day 1 of our first trip to Mexico and boy is it ever gorgeous. And relaxing. And pretty much everything you could ever want in a vacation.

When Zach and I arrived, we realized that this was the first time in eons we had actually taken a “just us” vacation. Our trip to Mexico was a belated celebration of our 5th year anniversary. When we first got married, we promised each other that we would return to Antigua to the Galley Bay Resort where we honeymooned. But life happens and plans change, so our trip to Cancun is in place of that and an exciting new adventure.

We are still trying to decide where to go and what to do because, frankly, there is so much that we could do that we are having a hard time choosing. Shall we swim with dolphins or go swim in a remote cenote? Shall we visit Mayan ruins or chill with crocodiles? Go see Cirque du Soleil or go snorkeling? Why not do everything?

Then reality strikes and we are realizing that we won’t be able to do everything Cancun has to offer. (And that’s good because that means more adventures for the next time.)

Can’t wait to share with you what we do decide to do.

Just wanted to do a brief check-in to share the beautiful vistas from our hotel, The Senses Riviera Maya by Artisan. The rooms are stunning and the views even more beautiful.

Hope that wherever you are, you are not freezing to death like we were before we left D.C. for Cancun. Stay warm, friends!

Cheers loves,

Liv
